Rock Art Center wins parents' choice award

The Deer Valley Rock Art Center is making headlines as a Nickelodeon Parents’ Pick for 2008. The archaeological site, nature preserve and museum has been voted the 2008 Parents’ Pick for Best Museum for Little Kids in the Phoenix area. The center, which is managed by ASU’s School of Human Evolution and Social Change, offers special programs for children, including a summer archaeology camp, storytelling sessions and scavenger hunts. The family friendly venue also plays host to annual festivals featuring music, arts, cultural demonstrations and guided tours of the 47-acre center.
