ASU professor discusses how lack of touch impacts us during social distancing

Social distancing has radically changed how we interact as humans by removing one of the most important aspects of our lives: touch. While virtual calls are a great way to stay connected, conduct business, and even learn, the absence of physical touch is sorely missed, not to mention extremely important.

In a recent interview by local KJZZ (91.5 FM), Masumi Iida, an associate professor in the T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics, discussed how important touch is in communicating a sense of connection, its effects on romantic relationships and more.
