More than 1,600 new freshmen headed to campus in the heart of the city; experienced Sun Devils offer them tips

The heart of downtown Phoenix just got a more youthful glow, as students hit the Arizona State University campus for the first day of classes. Over 1,600 new freshmen are ready to start college life, explore the downtown scene and call the Valley of the Sun home. 

ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus is a mix of contemporary spaces, iconic architecture and historic landmarks. It's home to eight degree-granting colleges — and all are excited to welcome the new class of students.
