The Arizona State women's golf team finished in a tie for sixth, Friday, at the 2012 NCAA Championships in Franklin, Tenn. The Sun Devils bounced back from the previous day to score a fourth-round total of 292 to move ASU up the leaderboard. For the Championship, Arizona State scored a four-day total of 27-over 1179 (292-291-304-292).

Senior Giulia Molinaro finished in a tie for eighth place at the NCAA Championships, her eighth top-10 finish of the year. The senior carded a four-round total of 3-over (69-71-72-79). For her play on the season, Molinaro earned first-team All-American honors from the NGCA, the 11th first-team All-American under head coach Melissa Luellen. Sophomore Justine Lee was named an NGCA Honorable Mention All-American as well as being named to the NGCA All-East Region team for her third-place finish at the NCAA East Regional at Penn State.

"These kids are a motley crew," said Luellen. "We're definitely going to miss Giulia. She was a huge leader for us. Anytime you take away a 72 scoring average is hard. These kids have a lot of heart, compete and work hard. They like how this success feels."

Freshman Noemi Jimenez shot the low-round of the day for ASU with a 2-under 70. The freshman recorded an eagle on seven and birdie on nine to close out her new career-low round on the last day of the NCAA Championships. The NCAA Championships concludes the season for ASU women's golf.
