W. P. Carey School dean named among most influential women

August 01, 2013

Arizona Business Magazine recently published its 2013 list of the "50 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business." The July-August cover story features a "Who's Who" of prominent women.

Amy Hillman, dean of the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, is included among such notables as Gov. Jan Brewer, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, the chief justice of the Arizona Supreme Court and the center for the Phoenix Mercury basketball team. Last year, retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor was on the list.

Hillman, profiled on page 38, gives a surprising fact about herself, saying, "One of my earliest executive-education experiences was helping give tools to Czech professors to train managers in their country after the Berlin Wall came down (in nearby Germany)."

She also talks about how happy she is at ASU.

Hillman will be honored with the other 49 influential women at a reception on Aug. 22.
