Sendek, Devils prepare for UA

The Arizona State's men's hoops team is heading to Tucson to take on the Arizona Wildcats at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 21.

The Devils, ranked No. 17 and No. 16 by the Associated Press and ESPN Coaches' Poll, respectively, at  15-3 overall and 4-2 in the Pac-10 under third-year head coach Herb Sendek.  

Sendek spoke about the game in a session with the local news media.

ASU has won 11 of its past 13, including wins over two 10-0 teams (vs. BYU and at Stanford) and a win at ninth-ranked UCLA on Saturday, as it trailed 54-43 with just over eight minutes to go but won 61-58 in overtime. The Sun Devils have now won six straight overtime games (4-0 last year and 2-0 this year) with four of the wins away from its home arena.
