Sendek, Devils head to Pac-10 tourney
The ASU Sun Devils will open up Pac-10 tournament play against a familiar foe, the University of Arizona Wildcats.
The No. 23 ASU men's hoops team, 22-8 and 11-7 in the Pac-10, will try for their fifth straight win against the Cats. ASU finished at 11-7 in the Pac-10 and tied for third, its best Pac-10 finish since the 1994-95 Sweet Sixteen team.
ASU coach Herb Sendek talked about the game and the Pac-10 tournament at his weekly session with the local media.
The Sun Devils have clinched back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since the 1979-80 team went 22-7 and the 1980-81 team went 24-4.
