Randall McDaniel honored for achievements on, off the football field

March 1, 2012

Randall McDaniel, former ASU football player, received the Alumni Achievement Award at the Feb. 29 annual Founders' Day awards dinner for his notable contributions.

"From becoming a Sun Devil, to stepping on the campus for the first time, to winning the Rose Bowl and beating Michigan, to getting my college degree and then being fortunate enough to go play 14 years in the NFL, and now to be working in the classroom like I do today, I'm proud to be part of the Sun Devil family," McDaniel says.

His volunteer efforts include operating Team McDaniel, a middle-school program that empowers students to make a difference in their communities through volunteerism.
