Nursing named leader in online education
The ASU College of Nursing and Health Innovation ranks 17th overall for best online graduate nursing programs, according to the 2013 U.S. News & World Report College Rankings.

ASU offers the following hybrid online graduate nursing and health innovation programs:
• Doctor of Nursing Practice
• Doctorate in Nursing
• Master of Science in Nursing Education
ASU also offers the following online programs:
• Master of Science in Clinical Research Management
• Master of Healthcare Innovation
• RN to BSN for undergraduates
According to a January 2013 online education report by the Babson Survey Research Group, the number of schools offering fully online degrees is nearly double what it was 10 years ago – 62.4 percent of colleges and universities offered fully online programs in 2012, compared to 34.5 percent in 2002.
According to the report, online education also provides students the ability to pursue higher education without quitting their jobs or uprooting families.
The ranking was determined by statistical questionnaires sent to 471 institutions that granted accredited graduate degree programs in nursing. Respondents were asked to identify whether in academic year 2012-2013 they would be offering a masters in nursing degree through Internet-based distance education courses.
Additionally, they collected statistical information from the same questionnaire on 101 schools with online programs.
