Monthly series brings Hollywood filmmakers face to face with ASU community
Nominated for four Academy Awards, the film "Beasts of the Southern Wild" was on tap for the most recent edition of Hollywood Invades Tempe, ASU's ongoing film series that brings talented artists together with audiences for discussions about filmmaking. Next up will be the Hunger Games with director Gary Ross, Feb. 13.
Hollywood Invades Tempe is the brainchild of Adam Collis, professor of practice for film in the School of Theatre and Film, in ASU's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. Collis says the series is a way for his students to get an inside perspective on the craft they are learning.
