It's time to win a President's Award

October 09, 2012

Are you part of a dynamic ASU team tackling the challenges before us to create dramatic, positive change?  If the answer is yes, ASU’s Employee Recognition Program wants to know about your accomplishments.

The annual President’s Awards recognize and celebrate ASU faculty and staff who have made significant contributions to the university in one of these areas: innovation, social embeddedness or sustainability. Teams working on projects or programs that meet the award criteria are encouraged to apply for an award. The submission deadline is Jan. 10, 2013.

Award recipients will be recognized by President Michael Crow at a reception and award ceremony in April 2013. Each team will receive a team award and each team member will receive an award certificate. The team’s accomplishments also will be publicized online and in ASU News.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of the Writers Briefings/Workshops that will be held in November and December. Shelly Potts and Lenay Dunn of the University Office of Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness will teach attendees how to measure and report results. Applicants also will receive tips on how to present information concisely and clearly so award examiners can easily review their submissions against the award criteria.
