Get a job: Internship and Career Fair slated for Oct. 30-31

October 21, 2013

Arizona State University will host the Internship & Career Fair on two campuses in consecutive days at the end of October.

The Downtown Phoenix campus will host the first session from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 30, inside the A.E. England Building at the Civic Space Park. The following day, the Polytechnic campus will host a similar session from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 31, inside the Cooley Ballrooms.

The Internship & Career Fair is a way for students and alumni to interact with professionals in hiring organizations, apply for and inquire about internship and job opportunities, and begin or continue building a network.

More than 50 organizations from the corporate, nonprofit and government sectors will be in attendance. The list includes, but is not limited to: Allstate, ARAMARK, ASM America, Enterprise, Entrepreneurship Innovation Group (EIG), General Motors Information Technology, GEICO, KAET-TV Channel 8, Mead Johnson Nutrition, Panda Express, Progressive Insurance, State Farm, Target, the U.S. Marine Corps, Vanguard, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts and USAA.

As a reflection of ASU’s diverse academic programs, organizations from the nonprofit, government and health care sectors will be represented at the Downtown Phoenix event, while the Polytechnic event will feature more employers in technology and engineering.

Candidates should dress professionally, bring several copies of their resume and be prepared to interact with employers. Registration will remain open for organizations to secure recruiting booths at either or both events until Friday, Oct. 25.
