2013 Graduate Fall Completion Fellows
December 04, 2013

Arizona State University's Graduate Education awarded 13 fellowships to provide support to outstanding graduate students in their final semester of study.

The fellows' varied research includes studies of race and gender in contemporary society, historical encounters with ancient Hohokam ruins, AIDS mourning in activist and theatrical performances, the Irish poet Thomas Kinsella, the Hindu minority in Pakistan and art education in museums, as well as other subjects.

The Graduate Completion Fellowship is a one-semester stipend for doctoral and MFA students in the arts, humanities, social sciences and education. The fellowship allows a semester of full-time effort to complete a dissertation or project of high quality. Students must be nominated by their departments.

Deadline for nominations for fall 2014 is March 31, 2014. For more information, see graduate.asu.edu/completion.

"These students have a strong record of academic excellence," says Andrew Webber, vice provost for Graduate Education. "They are making outstanding contributions to advancing knowledge in their fields of study. They should feel very proud of their accomplishments."
