Faculty sought for IHR Fellows program

December 05, 2014

In coordination with the multi-year celebration of the bicentennial of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the Institute for Humanities Research Fellows Program for the 2015-2016 academic year will investigate what the eruption or suppression of the monstrous shows us about ourselves, our possibilities as humans and our restless cultural imaginary. If monsters are the mirror of ourselves, then this annual theme seeks to explore the nature of subjectivity gone awry.

The IHR ASU Fellows program provides funding for either individual tenured or tenure-track faculty or research teams (two to three faculty) to engage in a year of research related to the annual theme, share their research with the academic community (via lectures, a conference or symposium), and produce a strong application for a large external grant.

The deadline to apply is March 2, 2015. Applications, guidelines and further information about the IHR Fellows Program can be found at: http://ihr.asu.edu/funding/fellows.
