Eddie Basha Celebration of Life Service to take place April 6 at Gammage

A service honoring and celebrating the life of Eddie Basha is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 6, at ASU Gammage in Tempe. The premiere university auditorium is prepared to seat up to 3,000 people with an overflow tent located on the front lawn of Gammage for 2,000 people.

Attendees are expected to begin arriving at 7 a.m.

A live Web broadcast will be made available for viewers, listeners and readers who cannot attend the service but want to watch from home. The webcast can be viewed at ustream.tv/channel/ASU-Live.

Please be prepared for the ASU Gammage parking lot to fill up quickly. Overflow lots will be located at Apache Structure, 10th street structure, and lots 16 and 19. Carpooling and use of light rail are encouraged.



Additionally, please be aware of heavy traffic and street closures due to the Basha service as well as the Tempe Festival of the Arts. More information here.

• News media should park on the north side of ASU Gammage and enter on Gammage Parkway.

• Post-celebration, contact McGuinness to arrange an interview with a community and business leader who has been asked to speak about Basha.
