Dance Annual showcases ASU student choreography
History, memory, multiplicity, relationships and communication are just some of the concepts ASU dancers will be exploring in this year’s Dance Annual, April 24-26.
Part of the 2014-2015 MainStage season at Arizona State University's School of Film, Dance and Theatre, the Dance Annual features choreography by undergraduate students, graduate students and guest artists. It is a juried show that includes both brand new choreography and reprised work that has been performed throughout the academic year.
“This year the Dance Annual really celebrates the accomplishments of our students during the past year – as performers, choreographers and designers,” said Mary Fitzgerald, assistant director of dance in the School of Film, Dance and Theatre.
The Dance Annual will be held at the Paul V. Galvin Playhouse on ASU’s Tempe campus for three performances:
6:30 p.m., April 24
7:30 p.m., April 25
2 p.m., April 26
Ticket prices are: $16, general; $12, ASU faculty, staff and alumni; $12, senior; $8, student. Purchase tickets online or call 480-965-6447.
