Carrick Felix named Pac-12 Player of the Week

Sun Devil senior forward Carrick Felix (B.S., Communications, 2012) has been named the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 26- Dec. 2, the Conference announced.


The Goodyear, Ariz., native had the first double-double of his career against Sacramento State on Dec. 1, where he had 21 points and a career-high 12 boards. Felix also had career highs in field goals made (nine) and assists (five) in the game. He also led the team with 21 points in a 67-54 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 28 and tallied six rebounds, four assists and two steals.


Felix now has eight 20-point games in his career and is averaging 20.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in the past four games.


This is Felix's first career Pac-12 Player of the Week honor and the 31st all-time selection for Arizona State.

The Sun Devils play host to Hartford on Wednesday (December 5) at 6:30 p.m. MT and Cal State Northridge on Saturday (December 8) at 12 p.m. MT, both games are televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.


ASU is 6-1 for the four time in the past 20 seasons (1993-94 to present) and will try to go 7-1 for just the fifth time in 35 seasons Wednesday. Since entering the Pac-10 in 1979, ASU has gone 7-1 in 2008-09 (12-1), 2004-05 (11-1), 1990-91 (9-1) and 1980-81 (7-1).
