Atkinson named to Pac-10 All-Conference Team

Arizona State University junior Mary Atkinson has been named to the Pacific-10 All-Conference Team, announced today by Commissioner Larry Scott. To be a member of the Pac-10 All-Conference team, scores are determined by a combination of 50 percent Regional Qualifying Score (entire regular season composite) and 50 percent Pac-10 Championship score.

Atkinson was named a Second-Team All-Arounder; it is her first time being named to a Pac-10 team. Atkinson, who is a member of the Barrett Honors College, has been the Sun Devils' consistent presence on the team the entire season. She has hit 40 out of 44 routines this season and is the Sun Devils' leading scorer on vault, bars and floor. The native of Chesapeake, Va., has scored a 9.9 on vault four times this season and twice on floor. She has also earned a career-high on bars with a 9.95 and posted a 9.8 as her best beam score. She has totaled a career-high of 39.5 in the all-around and is currently ranked 23rd nationally.
