Academic Bowl 2009 By Lisa Robbins | October 15, 2009 Colleen Jennings-Roggensack moderated one of the first night’s rounds of the 2009 edition of the ASU Academic Bowl. The Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering Gold Team was one of the two teams that advanced to the finals from the Tuesday night double elimination tournament. The Liberal Arts and Sciences Gold and Maroon teams end up with the same score at the buzzer. Gold won the toss-up question and the match, 235-225, leaving both teams with an identical record, forcing a seventh and deciding game. The Maroon team rolled to victory after taking an early lead and holding it, winning it all with a final score of 295-195. After a job well done, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences teams give congratulatory high-fives following the trophy presentation.
