A promotion is taking School of Social Transformation Academic Success Coordinator Tanya Marun to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Office of Student and Academic Programs.

Marun has served the students in the School of Social Transformation for more than three years. “I have truly enjoyed working at SST and it is definitely a bittersweet time for me,” she said. “SST welcomed me to Arizona and really embraced this lost Texan! The last three years have truly been a great experience; I have grown a lot professionally and personally and have had the privilege of meeting great people that truly care for our students.”

In her new role as assistant director of academic services, student success at the college level, Marun will plan and facilitate New Student Orientation for CLAS, in addition to her work with the CLAS Residential College.

“Tanya has done a wonderful job working with our students and helping them to find ways to achieve their academic goals,” said Elsie Moore, the School of Social Transformation’s director. She added, “While she will be greatly missed in SST, I am happy to see her move forward in her career.”

Marun transitions to her new role on April 9.
