A key part of the Sun Devil experience is making a positive impact on the Arizona State University community. At the Seventh Annual Pitchfork Awards on Thursday, April 5, students, advisers and organizations were honored for their dedication to making ASU a better place through spirit, service and leadership.

These distinguished devils were recognized in a range of categories that highlight education, diversity, spirit, entertainment, athletics and more. The event was hosted by the Pitchfork Awards Committee, made up of students and staff from all four campuses and was held at the ASU Student Pavilion on the Tempe campus.

One program recognized at the awards was developed to give emerging leaders the knowledge, skills and confidence to change the culture of violence by taking action in their own community. The Outstanding Wellness Project/Program award was presented to the Sexual Violence Prevention Program for Sorority Women represented by Riley Millner, a senior studying psychology.

“To see it be recognized in its second semester has been incredibly rewarding to all of us who have put so much into it in past year to make it a reality,” Millner said. “It has truly been such a worthwhile experience to work with the incredible women of the ASU Greek Life and to see so many of them not only be engaged during the program, but to utilize what they’ve learned as they go on to be leaders in the community.”
