Cecily Culver

Cecily Culver, an Master of Fine Arts in sculpture student in the School of Art, was recently awarded the 2015 Dedalus Foundation Master of Fine Arts Fellowship in painting and sculpture. The award carries a $20,000 stipend and free use of a studio in Brooklyn, New York, for one year. Candidacy for the fellowship is by nomination only, with each institution nominating a maximum of two candidates. Finalists are selected by a distinguished panel of artists, curators and critics. This is the first time a graduating student from Arizona State University has won the award.

Culver’s thesis exhibition, “"Other Observations,”" ran from April 16––25 at the Step Gallery in downtown Phoenix’' Grant Street Studios.
