Latin American art specialist to speak at ASU Art Museum

Latin American specialist and curator of the Diane and Bruce Halle Collection of 20th-century Latin American art, Beverly Adams, will present a lecture entitled “Between Performance and Document: Ana Mendieta’s Silueta Series,” 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the ASU Art Museum.

The lecture is in conjunction with the exhibition of Mendieta’s “Silueta Series” of self-portraits in which the artist literally inscribed her presence onto the landscape, then photographed the work. The photographs are on exhibit through Oct. 23 at the ASU art Museum. Download Full Image

Swiss video artist to speak at ASU Art Museum

Swiss video artist Pipilotti Rist will present a gallery lecture at the ASU Art Museum, 7:30 p.m., Oct. 22. Rist’s lecture is in conjunction with her exhibition Pipilotti Rist: Sip My Ocean and other videos.

The ASU Art Museum is a division of The Katherine K. Herberger College of Fine Arts at Arizona State University. It is located on the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and 10th Street, Tempe.
