ASU Art Museum offers free group tours and hands-on activities

August 19, 2002

TEMPE, Ariz. – Fall is just around the corner for most of the country, but here in the Valley we still have weeks – even months – of hot weather left. If you’re running out of ideas for fun indoor activities, check out the free group tours available at the ASU Art Museum or its new Ceramics Research Center.

Groups of 10 or more adults and/or children can enjoy a docent-led tour and discussion of the various photography exhibitions featured this fall, or of the Ceramics Research Center, which opened in March. Children’s tours are followed by hands-on art activities that enable children to discover their own inner artist.

Inquiries about booking a tour can be directed to Carrie Brown in the museum’s education department, at (480) 965-2787. The ASU Art Museum is a division of The Katherine K. Herberger College of Fine Arts and is located on the southeast corner of Mill Ave. and 10th St., Tempe.
