TEMPE, Ariz. - Recent works created by the faculty of the ASU Herberger College School of Art will be exhibited in the Art Faculty Exhibition at the ASU Art Museum, April 14-Sept. 9, 2007. A public reception will be held April 13, 7-9 p.m.

The bi-annual show displays the respected talents of art faculty who have helped the ASU Herberger College School of Art achieve high national rankings, according to U.S. News and World Report. The school’s master of fine arts program is ranked 13th in the nation, art education is ranked seventh, ceramics is ranked 14th, photography is fifth and printmaking is third.

This exhibition features works by more than 35 art faculty in media as diverse as painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, inter-media, fiber and ceramics; as well as research by art history and art education professors.

Participating in this year’s exhibition are: Julie Anand, Mary Bates Neubauer, Susan Beiner, Daniel Britton, Becky I. Chader (McDonah), Julie Codell, Dan Collins, Tom Eckert, Angela Ellsworth, Ron Gasowski, Denis Gillingwater, James Hajicek and Carol Panaro-Smith, Hilary Harp and Susie Silver, Jules Heller, Mary Hood, William Jenkins, Mark Klett, John Jota Leaños, Muriel Magenta, Stephen Marc, Kathryn Maxwell, Beverly McIver, Jeanne Otis, Janice M. Pittsley, Mark Pomilio, John Risseeuw, Betsy Schneider, Jerry Schutte, Forrest Solis, Mary Stokrocki, Clare Verstegen, James R. White and Diane Wolfthal.

The ASU Art Museum, named “the single most impressive venue for contemporary art in Arizona” by Art in America, is part of the Herberger College of the Arts at Arizona State University. The museum is located on the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and 10th Street in Tempe. Admission is free. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday and until 9 p.m. Tuesdays during the academic year.
