ASU Art Museum 11th Annual Film and Video Festival

TEMPE, Ariz. – More than 20 short films and videos ranging from animation and drama to comedy and documentaries will entertain adults and youth alike at the ASU Art Museum’s 11th Annual Short Film and Video Festival, 8 p.m., April 14. The festival is outdoors on the ASU Nelson Fine Arts Center plaza at 10th Street and Mill Avenue in Tempe.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy beautiful spring weather and a night of humorous and thought provoking works created by artists with different visions and levels of experience.

Attendance at the festival, which has developed a following among filmmakers and aficionados alike, has grown to about 1,200. The festival attracts entries from around the world.

All films and videos will be projected in VHS format. Most of the entries in this year’s festival are family friendly. The LeBlanc Audience Choice Award will be announced online atasuartmuseum.asu.edu following the festival.

The ASU Art Museum is part of the Herberger College of Fine Arts at Arizona State University. The museum is located on the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and 10th Street in Tempe and entry is free.  Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday and until 9 p.m. Tuesdays during the academic year.  For more information, call (480) 965-2787 or visit the museum online at asuartmuseum.asu.edu
